George Samuel Kirk was the brother of famous Starfleet Captain James Kirk. He was called George by most people but Sam by his brother. In 2265 he and his wife, Aurelan Kirk, saw James off at the beginning of his five year mission. Sam also mentioned that he wished to be posted to Earth Colony II research station.

(TOS: ) 2267 ist er mit seiner Familie in einer großen Stadt auf dem Planet Deneva als Wissenschaftler und Biologe stationiert. Als die USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) den Planeten erreicht, um die Ausbreitung eines Massenwahnsinns, der schon auf vielen anderen bewohnten Planeten ausgebrochen ist zu untersuchen, ist er bereits tot. Nur seine Frau Aurelan und sein Sohn Peter haben schwer verletzt überlebt. Zuvor haben Reisende von Ingraham B unwissend Neuralparasiten zur Deneva-Kolonie mitgebracht, die anschließend die dort lebenden Menschen unter ihre Kontrolle bringen, wodurch sie sich dann von Wahnsinn motiviert, gegenseitig umbringen. In 2265 he and his wife, Aurelan Kirk, saw James off at the beginning of his five year mission. Sam also mentioned that he wished to be posted to Earth Colony II research station. Sam was a research biologist who was posted on Deneva with his family. He was present when a ship from Ingraham B brought neural parasites to the planet. He was infected by the parasites like the rest of the colonists. Though it was painful his wife managed to resist the mind control and send a distress call to the Enterprise. When the Enterprise arrived it was to find Sam dead, with his wife dead soon after. The only survivor of the family was Sam’s son Peter Kirk.
