An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

A small bomb, about the same size and design as a gold power core, can be implanted in anything ranging from apples and other fruit, to animals, and even humanoids. The Griswald bomb is not that powerful, only designed to kill one person. The detonater responds to pressure or a remote signal. For example, if an assassin implanted a Griswald in all of the target's food supplies (one Griswald in each loaf of bread, ect.), he/she could then sit back and wait for the small pop that indicates the target's head exploding.

In the case of Vadania, who was enslaved to Rhelas, a Griswald was implanted in her neck, to ensure she didnt run away. This one responded to a remote signal, and whenever Vadania disobeyed Rhelas, he would pull out a small remote with two buttons (detonate and disarm) and his finger would hover over the "detonate" button threateningly. This would make Vadania squeal with terror, and reluctantly obey his every command. Obviously Griswalds are illegal, for their horrendous uses, but they can still be widely used, without anyone actually knowing, because of all the places the small bombs can be hidden. Signs of a Griswald can be picked up by a skilled engineer or any other observant person who cares to look at what he is eating. Some folks cut their food into bitesize bits before they eat them, just in case. This should only really apply for paranoid folks who are quite important to a criminal faction.
