abstract
  • The Rishi Maze, formally known as Companion Aurek, was one of the seven satellite dwarf galaxies that orbited the galaxy proper. The satellite derived its name from the planet Rishi, the starting location for hyperspace travel to the Rishi Maze along the Zareca String. The Rishi Maze's formal name, "Companion Aurek", is derived from Aurek, the first letter of the Aurebesh alphabet. Some time prior to the Battle of Yavin, the Rebel Alliance established Firebase Alpha, an illegal energy-mining station, near a black hole inside the Rishi Maze. The smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca were contracted to deliver supplies to the station.
