The Ferrari F92A was a car built by Scuderia Ferrari for the 1992 Formula One season. It was driven by Jean Alesi and Ivan Capelli. Ferrari had another unsuccessful season due to the very bad reliability of the Ferrari Tipo 038 engine, retiring 20 times out of 32, with the other retirements being other mechanical problems or driver mistakes. For the Belgian Grand Prix, the car was updated to the F92AT. The upgraded car included a seven-speed transverse gearbox, modified front suspension, more rigid engine mounting system and an updated version of the underwing.
