They elect their User of the Month before that Month begins [1]. I will have to check other wikis on what they do. But I understand where you are coming from. Ex. A business's Employee of the Month. Not chosen before month but after. Although, we need to reach a decision sometime soon about this. File:US Army OF-6.png Col. I Ross I Talk 19:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC) Actually UotM isn't really based on who was best that month, its based on overall contribution to the wiki and the month after they win UotM is when they are listed in recognition.--Bigm2793 20:48, 3 March 2009 (UTC) It really depends on a wiki's decision, but most wikis have it so that the user is recognized the month after they were chosen. And Ross is correct, an employee of the month is usually acknowledged the month after being selected.
