Adam Collins was the identity Barnabas Collins made up when he thought his life-force was going into Dr. Eric Lang's creation, Adam. "Adam" was to be one an english cousin of the Collins family in order to pave the way for Barnabas' acceptance at Collinwood. Barnabas told Elizabeth Collins Stoddard that he would be away for awhile and that he was expecting "Adam" Collins to pay him a visit very soon. When the experiment didn't go according to plan, and Barnabas remianed in his original body, this new identity was no longer needed.
