Will Champion (born 31 July 1978) is a British musician. Since 1997 he has been the drummer (and occasional guitarist, bassist, keyboard player and singer) in the band Coldplay. On 6 November 2012 it was announced that Champion would have a cameo appearance in the third season of Game of Thrones. It was confirmed that his character would be a drummer. Champion plays a drummer, one of the musicians/assassins hired by Lothar Frey for the Red Wedding. Along with the rest of his band, Champion later did Game of Thrones: The Musical for Red Nose Day.
