  • ==Order of Horrors== The Order of Horrors was an association of spellworkers tasked with bringing about the downfall of the then nigh-omnipotent memorist orders . The order set about this by spreading a rumor of horrors attracted to memory spellworkers who would then eat them. To this end, the Order of Horrors used illusions to trick people into believing that they saw horrors eating spellworkers. Once rumors had spread sufficiently, the memorist empires of the time cracked down on them, all but destroying them, and the few survivors dissolved the order. With the order's collapse, there was eventually none who knew that the Order had fabricated their rumors, and so the meme took off for real, summoning up horrors to strike down anyone who dabbled to deeply or for too long in memory spells.
