Image:Gawron.png Gawrons were a hive-oriented species, living in nests of large quantities of their own kind on their homeworld of SR388. Should a large organism or any other organism considered a threat pass too close to the nest, they would instinctually fly out of the nest to attack, in a manner similar to bees, Gamets, Geega, Zebs, Zebbos, and many other species throughout the universe. Because of the apparent destruction of SR388, they are now considered extinct.

- Gawrons are strange creatures Samus encounters on planet SR388 during the events of Metroid II: Return of Samus. They have eyes on the tops of their fairly round bodies and what appear to be gaping maws ringed by spines. They fly out of holes in the ground successively (these holes are the entrances to nests housing colonies of the creatures) and attack only by ramming at Samus. Thus, this makes them pretty predictable. They only made their appearance in SR388, and are not seen anywhere else in the series.
- Gawron es una especie de criaturas voladoras nativas del planeta SR388. Aparecen en Metroid II: Return of Samus. Dado que en Metroid Fusion el planeta SR388 es destruido, es posible que esta especie esté completamente extinta, dado que no ha sido vista en otro lugar.
