Android 16(人造人間16号, Jinzōningen Jū Roku-Gō) was designed to serve Dr. Gero's vendetta against Goku for defeating the Red Ribbon Army as a child, but later deemed unfit for activation, possibly as a result of malfunctioning in the same vein as Android 8. Android 16 made his debut in the 35th chapter of the Dragon Ball manga, and in the 134th episode of Dragon Ball Z, during the Android Saga. Android 16 also appears in Dragon Ball SF and Dragon Ball GF. Android's 16 future counterpart also appears in Future Trunks' timeline, as a part of the Z Fighters.
