Welcome to Windy City MUX, a non-WoD Modern Gothic-Horror RPG set in Chicago and based off the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton. It's a world where vampires have rights, zombies don't, shape-shifters are discriminated against illegally, and humans raise the dead for a living. In short, it's a modern world that will often look the same to you and me, but the monsters that we all thought were storybook creatures are out mingling with the rest of us. And they aren't nice.
