The reason for this being that, he saw her step past, heard her slide to the ground, then cry out in pain, then weep after which eventually her breathing slowed. He thought he could still hear it and asked that Tulas Shorn, his first visitor since his impalement, would show him mercy and turn him around so he could face his enemy again. Tulas Shorn eventually complied, knowing that either way, his action would not be a mercy not that he felt inclined to such in any case. When Skan Ahl had been turned he realised that he had had his back to a newborn Jaghut child's skeleton. He began howling even
