Baron Manfred von Richthofen (2 May 1892 – 21 April 1918) is a character in Blackadder Goes Forth, played by Adrian Edmondson. In the episode "Private Plane" from Blackadder Goes Forth, he shoots down the plane which Blackadder and Bladrick are flying and then takes them prisoner. Another German states he is the 'best german alive'. Blackadder and Baldrick are preparing for the worst when the Red Baron tells them they will have to teach young nuns in Germany, where they will stay until the end of the war. Unfortunately for them, Squadron Commander the Lord Flashheart and Lieutenant George come to rescue them.
