The New Afrikan Armed Forces (NAAF) are the military forces of the Republic of New Afrika, and one of the largest in North America. It consists of five branches, the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, the organizational systems of all of the branches of the old United States Armed Forces services preserved. Like its predecessor, the New Afrikan military is controlled by acivilian authority. The President of New Afrika is the Commander-in-Chief of the military, and all commanders within the armed forces answer to him. He is advised by a Joint Chiefs of Staff, each of which is the highest-ranking officer of their respective branch.
