| - Alverton Street Estate is a small housing estate in the Deptford area of Lewisham, London. Bound to the northwest by Gosterwood Street, to the north east by Alverton Street, to the southeast by Etta Street and to the southwest by Victorian terraced houses, the Alverton Street Estate consists of three blocks of flats. Prior to construction, the site was home to 17 prefabs, assembled after World War II as temporary housing. The first of these prefabs disappeared from the site in the late 1960s to make way for the first block of flats. Overlooking Etta Street is the 4 storey Plane Tree House, which was completed in 1968 and contains 16 flats. It was followed by Box Tree House, which overlooks Gosterwood Street, which also measures 4 storeys in height with 16 flats. Overlooking Alverton Street is Citrus House, which is 6 storeys tall and contains 30 flats. These last two blocks were completed in 1970.
