| - The Triad possess a triple Gauss Cannon with a boosted muzzle velocity to assist in its role as a Point Defense. Its attributes are the average of the Cerberus's and the Oblivion's extremes, possessing average ROF, DPS, and damage radius. The Triad is quite capable of overlapping a single target with the short area damage of 3 shots at once, usually destroying any T1 or heavily damaging a T2 enemy. With its higher firing arc than other T2 point defense, it can defend its position with only a few squares of cover from higher terrain, and is able to attack enemies below terrain with relative safety from only a few squares from the edge. Since the Gauss Cannon fires 3 at a time, targets at range and under terrain cover can still be damaged unless completely under protective cover, should 1 or 2 of the shot-pack miss. Large groups of Triads spread out inside a base can even defend against SABs or Experimental ground units, with a higher rate of fire than the Oblivion, and area damage effect over the Cerberus. However the Triad cannot effectively attack targets at close range, or exceptionally fast targets such as all faction Light Assault Bots. (although it would require a very large number to destroy it)
