Palantine lived on Coruscant after he was demobilized until his death in 61 ABY, being 108 years old. During his long life, he lived through the Clone Wars, Galactic Civil War, Yuuzhan Vong War, Second Galactic Civil War, Lost Tribe of Sith emergence, and many smaller conflicts. In his later years Palantine was visited by numerous historians and other individuals who asked him questions about different events, especially the Clone Wars. He was called an "old campaigner" and was experienced in combat. Palantine stated that though he was drafted on both occasions of his military service, he did not regret having to go through either of them. By the time he died, Palantine was recognized as the last living Clone Wars veteran.
