He decides to get a job so as to be able to afford a gift, and becomes a paper boy. Herbert, an elderly man on Chris' paper route tries to become friends with him, while making many sexual innuendos. Chris makes a fool of himself at Barbara's party when he sprays the perfume in Barbara's eyes and concludes that he is clumsy around girls. When Chris is witness to a robbery at a convenience store, he's brought in to finger the criminal. Peter comes in, looking for his son, and mistakenly shows a picture of Chris to the criminals in the lineup. When the robber escapes, he declares that he plans to kill Chris. 300px|left The FBI decides to relocate the Griffin family to Bumblescum in the deep South, where each member of the family finds their own challenges fitting in with Southern society. Chris befriends a child named Sam, until Peter insults the South for questioning their own version of re-enacting the Civil War, and Sam's father orders them not to spend time together. Sam kisses Chris before leaving, thoroughly bewildering him. Chris then discovers that Sam is a girl. Despite some hesitation, they start to enter into a relationship. Meanwhile, the robber, having tricked the FBI agents into giving away Chris' new address, reaches the deep South. About to kill Chris, he is stopped by the newly appointed sheriff, Peter. Peter discovers, however, that his gun is empty, and Sam's father comes to the rescue and shoots the criminal. The family returns to Quahog, causing a bit of heartbreak for Chris and Sam.
