The Remus was a ship docked in Southampton. It was named after one of the legendary founders of Rome, Remus, twin brother of Romulus, who were suckled by a she-wolf. The ship's Captain sought to reach Rome, after stopping in two Muslim-held ports, Malaga and Tunis.
