The Hykantar (/haɪˈkɑ:n.tɑr/, singular Hykan) were a bipedal humanoid species that had crystal formations as opposed to hair. These formations grew on various parts of a Hykan's body and varied colors. With only 13% water on their rocky desert planet, the Hykantar lived in caves. Through the caves they built wells. They were naturally slower in movements due to their thick skin but were not quick to anger or fight. Prior to the entrance of the Golden Empire there were only local governments and nothing planet wide.
