William Samuel Mercer (c.1890 - 10 May 1943) The son of William Alfred Mercer, an auctioneer and surveyor. In 1919 he married Henrietta Eugene Lepicq at St. John's Church Fitzroy Square. A resident of Wardour Street, in 1922 he was elected to St Pancras Borough Council and served a single three-year term as a Municipal Reform Party member of the London County Council representing St Pancras South West from 1928-31.
