Herbert Martin Gardiner (May 8, 1891 – January 11, 1972) was a Canadian professional defenceman who played for the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey League. He also played for the WCHL's Calgary Tigers. Gardiner turned pro with the Calgary Tigers in 1921 at the rather old age of 30, having playesd senior hockey in western Canada until then. He helped the Tigers make the 1924 Stanley Cup Finals where they lost to the Montreal Canadiens. Gardiner continued as coach and/or general manager of various Philadelphia minor pro teams until 1946, when he retired.
