- In 2256, just before the Battle of the Binary Stars, this star was displayed on a computer display monitoring the warp signatures of incoming Klingon starships aboard the USS Shenzhou. (DIS: "The Vulcan Hello") The display showed part of the Big Dipper segment of Ursa Major.
- Alioth is the fourth planet in the system. It is a gas giant which looks like Jupiter. The station in Alioth's orbit is Tech level 6 and is comprised of two towers connected by a bridge of which the left tower has a docking platform.
- The Alioth system is a star system with a primary star and at least 8 planets in the Maelstrom. In 2378, the sixth planet, Alioth VI, was the crash site where a Kessok Solarformer was found. To search for the device, The Cardassians set up patrols and satellites around the system to find the device. The USS Sovereign was the one to find the device first but the Cardassians sent a huge fleet, led by Legate Matan to destroy them. Later, the Cardassians set up station Litvok Nor to protect the crash site, but that space station was destroyed by USS Sovereign, USS Geronimo, IKV Ho'hegh and IRW Chilvas. The assembled vessels were also able to salvage the device and rescue Lieutenant Commander Data of the USS Enterprise, sent to study the device. (TNG video game: Bridge Commander)
- Next to nothing is known about Alioth. It claims to be the supreme time being of the time-span prior to Kang's (approximately 2000bc-6000ad), stretching back to the dawn of life on Earth. It claims to be the first being to free itself from the timestream, presumably meaning to travel into Limbo, or to another time period.Kang has claimed that it has only been though his efforts that Alioth has not taken over all time periods. Kang somehow managed to form a barrier to prevent Alioth from entering his portion of Limbo. Kang was rendered comatose in a battle with the Avengers and Fantastic Four (I believe this was the Citizen Kang saga). | - Alioth is the fourth planet in the system. It is a gas giant which looks like Jupiter. The station in Alioth's orbit is Tech level 6 and is comprised of two towers connected by a bridge of which the left tower has a docking platform. In Galaxy on Fire 2, Keith T. Maxwell is automatically transported here after being captured by a Terran convoy in the Mido system. Here, Keith will re-unite with Brent Snocom after the 35-year experience and encounter the Voids for the first time. The station in this planet's orbit is then the site of more conferences between Maxwell and Snocom, especially in the Supernova storyline.
