"The Toreador Song" is sung by the bullfighter Escamillo in an attempt to woo the lady for which Georges Bizet's opera is named: Carmen. It was performed by Fozzie Bear and a matador in episode 418 of The Muppet Show, and was previously featured in episode 409 as a portion of Pigoletto. The tune was later sung by Kermit with new lyrics in a public service annoucement for the V-Chip. In The Muppet CD-ROM: Muppets Inside, a team of rat lawyers led by Rizzo the Rat sing the trademark notice to this tune. The song plays in Muppets Most Wanted during Gonzo's indoor running-of-the-bulls act.
