To see the 'unseen' has always been the definition of religion. After all, all Prophets 'see' things that mere mortals do not. But how do you use these unseen things? By interpreting them. To interpret mystic things becomes a staple of early civilizations, because it gives them both a veneer of sophistication, and aids them to impress the masses and pursue easily their agendas. It is also the stepping stone to a true Religion.
