On January 1 a Moderate risk was issued the SPC said a low number of tornadoes and a high % of a EF4+. 10 tornadoes touched down an EF1 caused damage near Moore Oklahoma. On January 2nd a High risk was issued a very high risk of a EF4+ a EF4 did touchdown In very rural areas of Kansas near Chapman it damaged 10 homes one was leveled and another was swept away both of the homes were anchor bolted the one that was swept away was not secure with washers preventing a higher rating winds were estimated at 190 MPH the rating is disputed. On January 3 a Slight risk of severe weather was issued very minor tornadoes touched down.
