Despite their best efforts Carlos and Simon have not been able to get Marlon, who still shows no enthusiasm for the culinary arts, back to work. Later, at home Paddy complements Marlon on his cooking as he tucks into food Marlon made the day before. Marlon is initially unconvinced, but when he tries his own dish he agrees it is actually very good. Realising that he’s great chef Marlon returns to The Woolpack to take over the festival of fish from Carlos. While Nicola is disappointed to find that Simon does not seem to harbour any jealous thoughts whatsoever about the return of Carlos, her former fiancé, Laurel is surprised by Ashley’s hostile reaction to the latin lover who had an affair with his ex-wife. When Carlos accidentally spills a drink over Laurel the man of the cloth leaves the chef in no doubts about what he will do if he lays a finger on her.
