- The Fifth Dimension is The Twilight Zone. As defined by The Narrator: "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call the Twilight Zone." Awareness of this fifth dimension did not occur until 1959, when it's existence was first introduced by the Narrator. (TZ1: "Where is Everybody?")
- The Fifth Dimension is where mischevious imps, such as Bat-Mite, come from. They have a large interest in Earth culture, which leads to Bat-Mite, who considers himself Batman's number one fan, crossing over to Earth's reality numerous times to "help" him out.
- The Fifth Dimension was the home of Mr. Mxyzptlk and other beings of incomprehensible power like him.
- The Fifth Dimension (Also known as Ghost Limbo) is a place that Hauntquarters usually sits, that is a odd cloudy place. Not much is stated about the fifth dimension in the shows. While it was suggested in I'll Be A Son of a Ghostbuster (Part I) that the time may be 2086, however time stands still there.
- The fifth dimension was the name applied by Doctor Chaotica to the trans-dimensional realm of photonic lifeforms who visited the holodeck of USS Voyager in 2375. Tom Paris, as Captain Proton in the holodeck program The Adventures of Captain Proton received a telegram in his rocket ship stating that aliens from the fifth dimension were at war with Chaotica and his Fortress of Doom within the holoprogram. The program was unable to realize that the photonic lifeforms were real and actually came from a trans-dimensional realm. (VOY: "Bride of Chaotica!")
- Fifth Dimension is the third album by the American folk rock band The Byrds and was released in July 1966 on Columbia Records. Most of the album was recorded following the February 1966 departure of the band's principal songwriter Gene Clark. In an attempt to compensate for Clark's absence, guitarists Jim McGuinn and David Crosby stepped into the breach and increased their songwriting output. In spite of this, the loss of Clark resulted in an uneven album that included a total of four cover versions and an instrumental. However, the album is notable for being the first by The Byrds not to include any songs written by Bob Dylan, whose material had previously been a mainstay of the band's repertoire.

According to Chaotica, there were only five dimensions. (VOY: "Shattered")

The album peaked at #24 on the Billboard Top LPs chart and reached #27 on the UK Albums Chart. Two preceding singles, "Eight Miles High" and "5D (Fifth Dimension)", were included on the album, with the former just missing the Top 10 of the Billboard singles chart. Additionally, a third single taken from the album, "Mr. Spaceman", managed to reach the U.S. Top 40. Upon release, Fifth Dimension was widely regarded as the band's most experimental album to date and is today considered influential in originating the musical genre of psychedelic rock.
