- The Stonetalon Mountains were once host to great beauty and peace, but its lands has since been deforested by the Venture Co. Goblins who desire its valuable timber. The Horde and Allience are alarmed by this and are pushing them out whilst fighting one another. The Alliance operates from Stonetalon Peak and the Horde from Sun Rock Retreat and Malaka'jin.

- Stonetalon mountains sú vrchy ležiace na západ od Barrens. Su tradičným domovom Harpyí, no tie sa už rozšírili aj do iných častí Kalimdoru. Najvyššia hora Stonetalon Peak je domovom Nočných Elfov, ktorí pravidelne komunikujú s duchmi lesa. Tento vrch je celý zalesnený, no zvyšok územia je takmer bez stromov. Do Stonetalon Mountains prišla nedávno Venture Co. a začala ťažiť ropu. Vyrúbala lesy vo Windshear crag a znečistila vody v riekach a jazerách. Vzduch znečistili popolčekom a inými exhalátmi. Tým podráždila nie len alianciu, ale aj hordu, a preto tu Taureni založili mesto Sun Rock Retreat a trolovia dedinu Malaka'jin. Zabývali sa tu aj Koboldovia. - The Stonetalon Mountains, aka Stonetalons, are a range of peaks that lie west of the Barrens, south of Ashenvale, and north of Desolace. The mountains are traditionally the homeland of the harpies, but their numbers have dwindled as the bird-women spread east and south. Stonetalon Peak, the largest mountain in the range, has long been a sacred place for both the night elves and tauren. The night elves maintain a barrow and a glade at the top, where they commune regularly with the spirits of nature. The mountains further south are less forested, although some sparse evergreens grow in certain spots, particularly the Greatwood Vale.
