Bubo would eventually decide to become a spider droid for some reason by having his brain put inside it, deciding that sucking the blood out of flies was more fun than simply eating them. He wasn't terribly saddened when his cousin Kermit, had been killed by HK-47, as he thought he was a wimp.

Im Kampf gegen ihn wirft er anfangs jeweils drei Eier auf einmal ab, aus denen, wenn man sie nicht zerschlägt, kleine Bubos schlüpfen und Prinzessin Peach attackieren, jedoch nach der Zeit selbst verschwinden. Ansonsten kann man die Eier zerschlagen und Münzen ergattern. Sollte der Bubo nun seine Schneise ziehen, muss man auf seinen Kopf springen, um ihm so ein Leben abzuziehen. Besitzt Bubo nur noch zwei Leben, zerstört er den Untergrund und Peach fällt in den Abgrund, wobei Bubo ihr folgt. Nun lässt er immer drei Eier um sich schweben, die aber mit einem normalen Schlag oder dem Gefühl Freude zerstört werden können. Um auf Bubos Kopf zu gelangen, muss man das Gefühl Freude einsetzen, dieses Gefühl beendet man dann, falls man über ihm schwebt. Nach zwei Treffern ist er ausgeschaltet und der von Bubo gefangen gehaltene Toad ist gerettet.
