Lying below Bower Lake, the ruins was once the guild hall of the Heroes Guild, an organization that took job requests from the people and protected them from harm. The founder of the guild, and many if not all of it's members, were descendants of the First Archon of the Old Kingdom. Over time however, the guild's original purpose was corrupted when the leader and founder of the guild was corrupted by his wife, an evil women who wanted to use the guild to serve her own purposes and heroes were allowed to choose to be good or evil, even allowing requests of evil nature to be available to guild members. The founder of the guild, and many if not all of it's members, were descendants of the First Archon of the Old Kingdom. Over time however, the guild's original purpose was corrupted when the leader and founder of the guild was corrupted by his wife, an evil women who wanted to use the guild to serve her own purposes and heroes were allowed to choose to be good or evil, even allowing requests of evil nature to be available to guild members. Some time after The Hero of Oakvale defeated Jack of Blades however, the people rose up and destroyed the guild, believing that the guild was no longer needed to protect Albion. Most of the guild perished as they did not want to kill the people while the few that did survive simple vanished such as the Hero of Oakvale. Thousands of years later, the Hero of Bowerstone would be guided to the ruins by the sister of the Hero of Oakvale, Theresa, and use it as his headquarters in his quest to defeat Lucian Fairfax to save Albion. With Lucien defeated, the Hero of Bowerstone worked in secret to restore the Heroes Guild and adapt it for modern times and renovated the ruins into a functioning headquarters while tracking down other heroes. As this went on in secret, no one save the old hero king and those he contacted.
