Elle était originellement peuplée de Gotals mais ils fuirent en masse Antar IV lorsque la lune tomba sous le giron de la Confédération des Systèmes Indépendants. De nombreux Gossams et Koorivars immigrèrent alors. A la fin de la guerre, le soutien de la lune aux Séparatistes lui valu d'être sévèrement réprimandé par l'Empire Galactique qui procéda à des arrestations et exécutions en masse, qui furent connus par la suite sous le nom d'Atrocités d'Antar.
- Antar 4, also known simply as Antar and the Gotal moon, was a moon that orbited Antar, a planet located in the galaxy's Inner Rim, that was the homeworld of the sentient Gotal species. It was taken over by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. As a result, it was later targeted by an Imperial operation that came to be known as the Antar Atrocity.

The moon was conquered during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Native Senator Ta'laam Ranth of the Galactic Alliance Senate was appointed to the Alliance High Council.
- Antar 4 was the fourth of six moons orbiting the gas giant Antar and was homeworld of the Gotal race. The planet had wild seasons, extreme tidal variations, and strange phases of light and dark caused by the parent planet eclipsing the sun and reflecting the light from the system's star. Sixty percent of Antar 4 was covered by water. Its rotation even prevented ice caps from forming at its poles.
