The Madagascan Mantella, Mantella madagascariensis, is a species of large Mantella native to southeastern Madagascar. It is in the subgenus that includes M. pulchra and M. baroni. M. madagascariensis is threatened by habitat loss, chytridiomycosis, and illegal exportation. It is occasionally kept as a pet by herpetoculturists.
