Sakushin (裂く神, To Tear Down God; English TV "God-cutter") is currently one of the swords of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, though technically stands as the "student sword" (学徒剣, gakutoken) to the blade known as Nuibari. Similarly to the actual sword, Sakushin is a narrow "longsword" (長刀, chōtō), although it doesn't appear as needle-like as the former. Its ability lies in its tremendous piercing power, leaving it fit for a style associating with modern-day fencing. Notably, Sakushin has a ribbon that wraps around the hilt of the blade, with a thin kunai-esque protrusion protruding out of it, although concealed carefully through certain blacksmith techniques. This allows Sakushin to have a similar functionality to Nuibari, in that the ribbon can be weaved throughout the battlefield a

  • Sakushin (裂く神, To Tear Down God; English TV "God-cutter") is currently one of the swords of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, though technically stands as the "student sword" (学徒剣, gakutoken) to the blade known as Nuibari. This allows Sakushin to have a similar functionality to Nuibari, in that the ribbon can be weaved throughout the battlefield and intervene in enemy positions and the like. Although considering it is a ribbon rather than a wire, its effectiveness for causing lethal damage is significantly reduced. Upon reanalysis of the blade and its properties following the thievery of Nuibari, Sakushin's ribbon was actually significantly altered by Ragyō. Her primary alteration was the properties of the ribbon. By interlacing the fabric with a unique steel edging, Sakushin's ribbon poses considerable cutting ability. Furthermore, she made the color of the ribbon influenced by her own chakra, allowing it to undergo a certain level of camouflage, although this isn't perfect by any means, considering the bladed portion still remains. Nonetheless, Sakushin in itself has become a very potent blade, despite its various shortcomings.
