The De Brabant Foundation is a fictional charity that was established by Nick Knight using the vast fortune that he has acquired down the centuries. The De Brabant Foundation is introduced in the episode "Blood Money", whose flashback suggests that the original source of Nick's money is a chest of gold that he received in 17th century France as ransom for the Dauphin, whom he had kidnapped. The Foundation was managed for years by Nick's financial advisor, Charles DuChamps. However, he was murdered in an embezzlement plot; and, after recovering the money, Nick shifted his financial affairs to Feliks Twist.
