| - Therin Park was a recreational space in the capital city of Laikan on Andor. It was an isolated and quiet spot in the noisy city, characterized by stone paths, waterfalls, and fragrant herbal plants. (DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: Andor: Paradigm, ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls) In 2377, Therin Park was the one of the targets of a terrorist group, destroying much of the area. (CoE eBook: Remembrance of Things Past, Book I) In 2381, during the Borg Invasion, Therin Park served as a gathering place for a vigil in the hours leading up to the Borg attack. Therin Park (and presumably the entire capital) was obliterated as one of the Borg's primary targets. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls) New Therin Park, in the city of Lor'Vela, was established during the rebuilding program of 2382, which also relocated the Parliament Andoria from Laikan to Lor'Vela. Both parks had been named in honor of Shantherin th'Clane, a Starfleet officer who had distinguished himself with great bravery more than a century earlier. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Paths of Disharmony)
