Durant les derniers jours de l'Occupation, Fala perdit la foi envers les Prophètes et se tourna vers le culte des Pah-wraiths. Craignant que sa direction soit remise en question et que les membres du Culte se révolteraient contre lui, Dukat projeta un suicide collectif du culte. Quand Kira exposa les intentions de Dukat à Fala, celui-ci fut désillusionné et finit par se suicider. (DS9: "Covenant")
- During the Occupation of Bajor, he was a teacher in the Singha refugee camp and kept the faith alive for a great many Bajorans there. Among his students was a young Kira Nerys. During the closing days of the Occupation, however, Fala secretly lost his faith in the Prophets and instead became a follower of the Pah-wraiths. He joined the cult that worshiped them soonafter while maintaining his vedek status in public.
