At the time of the Fall of D'ni, the last Great Lords were Grand Masters from the: Writers, Miners, Maintainers, Bookmakers, and Ink Makers, but Lords could come from other Guilds. Lord Nehir was a Stone Mason. The Five could vote in meetings of the Council, but only if the issue was considered important or controversial, or if the vote was tied.
