- "The Other 48 Days" is the seventh episode of Season 2 in Lost and the thirty-second produced hour of the series as a whole. The entire episode is a flashback, showing what happened to the survivors of the tail section of Oceanic Flight 815 from the moment of the crash right up until the "present day" on the Island. Finding out that she has survived a terrible plane crash, Ana Lucia Cortez becomes the de facto leader of an eclectic group of survivors. However, the newly formed community is put through extreme stress as they become targeted in attacks by strange indigenous individuals on the Island. __FORCETOC__

Na plaży chłopczyk z pluszowym misiem w ręce wskazuje swoją siostrę topiącą się w wodzie, którą chwilę później Mr. Eko wyciąga na brzeg. Dzięki reanimacji przeprowadzonej przez Anę – Lucię Cortez, dziewczynkę udaje się zachować przy życiu. - Toen 48 dagen geleden vlucht 815 neerstorte aan de ene kant van het eiland, kwam het eerder afgebroken staartdeel aan de andere kant terecht. Er waren 23 overlevenden, maar dit groepje werd al snel uitgedund door ontvoeringen door de “anderen” en doordat er een aantal gewonden overleden. Het bleek dat ook deze groep was geïnfiltreerd door een van de “anderen”, maar het groepje bestaande uit Mr. Eko, Bernard, Libby en Cindy onder leiding van Ana-Lucia wist te ontsnappen. Deze vijf maakte later op hardhandige wijze kennis met de groep op het vlot en gaat dan op weg naar het kamp aan de andere zijde van het eiland.
