The beet leafhopper (Circulifer tenellus) is a winged insect native to the Western United States that feeds on plants from the beet family. The insect somewhat resembles a cicada, but is entirely a pale green color (sometimes tan though). They are known for being able to transmit diseases to the plants they feed on and are considered a pest in horticulture.
