Raph agrees to take Renoir to Augustus' funeral to give him closure over the boy his new student apparently killed, but their inspection of the coffin is interrupted by Shadow and Carole, Augustus' little sister. Shadow and her Uncle Michelangelo Hamato are appalled that Raph has both taken in a killer mutant and brought him to his own victim's funeral, and parents Maxwell and Clara Amherst only see Renoir as their son's murderer, but Renoir's quirky personality and memories manage to convince Shadow and Carole that he really is Augustus.
