  • His Imperial and Most Illustrious Lutheran Majesty, Defender of the Faith, by the Grace of God, Godric II, Emperor of Hulstria, His Royal Highness Grand Duke of Sisula, His Royal Northern Highness Great Prince of Trigunia (b. August 17, 2769, Schloss Fliederbrunn, Kien, Greater Hulstria) reigned as the Kaiser of Hulstria, Grand Duke of Sisula, and the pretender to the Trigunian Monarch as the Great Prince from 2814 to until his death in November of 2856. Born to Alexander I of Hulstria and Anna, Countess of Kremfurt, Godric was the first son and child of the imperial couple. Following the death of Godric's paternal grandfather, Franz VI of Hulstria, Godric became the first in line to the Hulstrian, Sisulaian and Trigunian thrones in 2798, gaining the title of His Imperial Majesty Archduke Godric, Crown Prince of Hulstria, Hereditary Prince of Tirgith until his own accession and coronation in 2814. In 2800 Crown Prince Godric married thegrand-daughter of Leopold II of Central Macon Roberta Lusk, Viscountess of Ayelsbury of the House Lusk, the ruling family of the Principality of Central Macon, in a large wedding ceremony at the Hulstrian National Cathedral in Kien. In Febuary 2801 they had their first child, Archduke Karl, and their second child, Archduke Klaus Gustav, in July 2803. They later had Archduchess Josephine in January 2808 and Archduchess Martha in Ocobter 2810. Godric II of Hulstria was eldest out of three children and was the older brother to Wilhelm, Duke of Thague and Matilda, Queen of Rilandor. The Emperor was the father-in-law to Queen Elizabeth I of Lodamun (daughter of Matthew I of Lodamun), father-in-law to Janne II of Vorona, and maternal grandfather to Adela I of Rilandor, the daughter of Henri III and Matilda of Rilandor. Descendants of Godric II of Hulstria and Roberta Lusk include the Kings of Endralon and Rutania, including the monarchs of Vorona through the Rothingren-Traugott Bavoria cadet branch. When his father, Alexander I of Hulstria, died after a heart attack in 2814, Godric became the new Emperor of Hulstria as per with the Hulstrian line of succession to the throne and assumed the rest of titles and responsibilities that came with it. Upon his coronation, Godric took up the regnal name "Godric II of Hulstria", after Godric I of Hulstria, who died in a car accident in 2606. As the Emperor of Hulstria, Godric II was also the head of the State Church of Lutheranism in Greater Hulstria and as well head of the Lutheran Churchs in Trigunia and Sisula. Godric II's reign was marked by peace in the Imperial Court and the expansion of Hulstrian influence on Terra; Godric followed the policies in particular of Klemens II of Hulstria, whom Godric was a descendant, with concerns to royal marriage. With this policy, the Rothingren-Traugotts under Godric II gained two new cadet branches, the House of Aynako and the House of Bavoria, taking in the Monarchs of Tukarali and Vorona respectively, new alliances with the Diggorys in the Kingdom of Lodamun (which eventually resulted in the Diggory line becoming a Rothingren-Traugott branch), the Valonens in Sekowo, the Ursulas in Keymon, the Orleans-Vassor in Rilandor, and the Schlechters in Kazulia. Godric II also pursued expanded relations with the Holy Luthori Empire and the Lusk in Central Macon. Perhaps the most darkest and unfavorable period of Godric's reign was the death of his first son, the heir to the Hulstrian throne, Karl, Crown Prince of Hulstria, in 2836. His death devastated the Emperor and he would remain out of the public spotlight for the remainder of that decade, limiting his duties to very formal events. His second son, Archduke Klaus Gustav, became the new heir to the throne following this event. While Karl's death was determined to be an accident, there were some rumors that the death was actually an assassination by foreign republican agents; such claims however were never proven. After over 43 years of rule on the Hulstrian, Sisulan, and Trigunian thrones, Godric II died in the fall of 2856 following a month of serious illness; due to his old age at 88 years of age, the illness spread faster than expected. A long period of mourning ensued. As per with the regulation of the line of succession to the Imperial throne of Hulstria, Godric's second son and heir following Karl's death, Crown Prince Klaus Gustav, became the new Emperor, taking up the regnal name of Klaus Gustav IV. Godric II of Hulstria has been constantly ranked high in polls and by historians as being one of the top Monarchs ever to have reigned over the Imperial Crownlands due to the expansion of Rothingren influence, Hulstrian prosperity, and peace in the 43 years of rule.
