Playa Verde (literally Beach Green) is the city that Dora and her family move to in Dora and Friends: Into the City! as well as home to Dora's new friends Alana, Emma, Kate, Naiya, and Pablo. Like the Rainforest in Dora the Explorer, Playa Verde acts as the main setting of Dora and Friends: Into the City!, however is depicted as being urban and realistic setting compared to Rainforest's rural and fantastical setting. Also unlike the Rainforest, the city is home primarily to humans and non-anthropomorphic animals, though some mythical creatures such as dragons and Sprites are shown to still live and/or have lived in Playa Verde at some point in the past. Like the Rainforest, Playa Verde is connected to various magical or mystical lands such as Baile, Opera Land, Music Land, and Magic Land.
