| - Cubone was originally a child being raised by his Marowak, when one day his mother was killed. Cubone was distraught, and lived with Mr. Fuji shortly after, hardened by the events. When Red infiltrated Pokémon Tower and rescued Cubone, Cubone felt a liveliness and determination from Red. Cubone joined Red's team, and was nicknamed Maro. Maro's moveset: Bonemerang, Brick Break, Bone Rush.
- Eevee was originally experimented on by Team Rocket, and Red found it in the Game Corner where he protected her from the falling debris. Eevee then joined Red's team and was nicknamed, "Vee". Vee isn't seen battling much, due to her mutations that cause her pain sometimes but when she is seen battling she takes advantage of her multiple evolutions and gains a type advantage usually to defeat her opponent. As an Eevee, Vee's moveset is: Tackle, Quick Attack, Sand Attack, and Bite.
- Gyarados was obtained in Fossil Fighters!, when Red was on Route 3. He met a fisherman who claimed to have the most "powerful Pokémon", and Red bought it for 500 dollars. As a Magikarp, Gyara wasn't used very much due to knowing only splash , but upon evolution Gyara was used more often. Gyara is mostly used for situations involving a powerful Pokémon, and is considered one of Red's powerhouses. As of season two, Gyaras is level 20. current moves are: Tackle, Bite, Outrage, Water Pulse.
- Pikachu was first caught prior to Pokémon the Series: Red and Blue, living underneath Red's house chewing on electrical wires. Red then caught Pikachu, and nicknamed him Pika. Pika and Red are best friends, and Pika has always been Red's main Pokémon. As of season 2, Pika is level 26. Pika's current moves are: Thundershock, thunder wave, tail whip, quick attack.
- Ivysaur, as a Bulbasaur, was obtained in Start of Something New, as a starter Pokémon. Red had went inside Professor Oak's lab and accidentally set loose a bunch of Pokémon, including Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur was then seen battling a wild Beedrill, and with the assistance of Red defeated him. Red was given Bulbasaur by Professor Oak, and nicknamed Bulbasaur, Saur. Saur then evolved into Ivysaur after defeating Misty's Starmie. Saur is one of Red's most used Pokémon, next to Pika. As of season 2, Saur is level 23. Saur's current moves are: Tackle, Razor Leaf, Vine Whip, Poison Powder.
- Charmander was originally a Pokémon owned by Damian, but Red had captured him after Damian abandoned Charmander prior to Charmander, the Stray Pokémon. Char then evolved into Charmeleon upon battling a Team Rocket admin's Arbok. As of season two, Char is level 15 . Char's current moves are: Scratch, Ember, Smokescreen, Dig.
- Wartortle was apart of a group of Squirtle, who came to assist Red in a battle against the Elite Trio. Red had then offered Squirtle a spot on the team and nicknamed him Blast. Blast hasn't been used much, due to Gyara being Red's main water-type. Squirtle evolved Wartortle in a battle against Erika, and helped Red win the match. As of season 2, Blast is level 13 . Blast's current moves are: Tackle, Withdraw, Bite, Water Gun.
- Snorlax was originally a sleeping obstacle on Route 12, and Red had battled the sleeping Pokémon with multipe Pokémon. Snorlax wouldn't wake up, so Red chucked a great ball at Snorlax and caught him successfully, nicknaming him Snor. Snor, like Gyara, is one of Red's powerhouse Pokémon due to his immense strength. Snor's current moves are: Rest, Body Slam, Mega Punch, and Headbutt.
