A tropical wave came off the coast of Africa and quickly developed into Tropical Storm Ida. Just hours later, it developed into a Category 4 hurricane. Minutes later, a Category 6 hurricane. By 1:00 AM the next day, it became a Category 10 hurricane. By 4:30 AM, a Category 1 hypercane. It even developed into a very rare Category 3 hypercane! It soon dissipated leaving major damage in many important landmarks.
