The tamaranian hopper is a single-legged mammal-like creature from Tamaran, a planet from the Spore galaxy. A native to Tamaran, it was at the bottom of the macroscopic food chain in its biome, being eaten by both the Willosaurus and the Tick. These herbivores hopped among the plains, using their arms to grab plants to their mouths. It is believed that they ate most of the area's food, then moved to a new area (somewhat like locusts). They traveled in large herds of up to hundreds of individuals.

Hoppers move salially (i.e. they hop to get around) upon a single double-jointed leg.
