The White Howlers were a Pictish tribe of Garou, who lived in present-day Scotland during the time of the Roman Empire. When the Wyrm began to corrupt the Pictish people and lead them to their destruction, the White Howler tribe assembled a pack of its greatest heroes and sent them against the Wyrmhole from whence the defilement spread. But in the battle, the White Howlers delved too far, and saw the face of the Wyrm. They were driven mad, and the first Black Spiral Dancers were created. The Black Spiral Dancers destroyed the White Howlers as a tribe, capturing them and exposing them to the Wyrm's taint until they were destroyed or joined the Wyrm-fouled Black Spirals.
