The Slug Mother is a common enemy that spawns in the Deep Jungle. When attacked, it will spawn a Slug Lord from the bulb on its head, but on occasion, will spawn an emblem instead. They move very slowly, and as a result, pose little threat to the player. The Slug Mother is replaced by the Luminescent Slug Mother on Challenge Level 1 and above. Luminescent Slug Mothers have much more health and damage than their lesser brethren and spawn Luminescent Slug Lords instead of normal ones when damaged.
