- The Captain's Log appears in the Pigs in Space: Deep Dish Nine sketch in episode 102 of Muppets Tonight. Captain Pighead starts out the sketch reciting his captain's log, presumably dictating it to an unseen recording device. It is then revealed he's speaking to an actual log, who confirms he's understood the latest entry.
- Captain's Log is the tenth expansion of the Decipher Star Trek Customizable Card Game's Second Edition, with game content derived from topics related to Star Trek: Voyager. This set was released on 27 October 2006, with 120 cards. Eighteen of the cards were also released as foil archive edition cards.
- The default function of the captain's log is to read the player's port statistics. The log contains five pages with the following information:

At the end of the show, it's used to sum up the plot and deliver An Aesop. Examples of Captain's Log include:
