| - From the Wind of Hysh comes the Lore of Light. Colour: White Rune: Hysh, the serpent of light Light magic is particularly diffuse; it permeates all solid things and is found particularly in the earth. Here it slowly builds like an electrical charge until too much is one place, at which point it dissipates, causing earthquakes, landslides, and other such destructive phenomena. Because it is so diffuse, it is difficult for wizards to gather and channel effectively. The Light College therefore employs large numbers of acolytes, who perform subsidiary incantations and chants to boost the energy of their masters when spell-casting. Light wizards tend to be charismatic individuals, who can command the loyalty of their many acolytes.
- Light Magic (光魔法, Hikari Mahō) is a type of Magic where the user orders the Rukh that produce Magoi to change into Light Magic. It is the third type of magic; Magicians who have an affinity to the third type are known as "Orange Magicians". Third-type magicians have a remarkable aptitude toward the seventh type.

- Light Magic was a parade that ran at Disneyland from May - September of 1997. Originally billed as a replacement for the distinguished and beloved Main Street Electrical Parade, Light Magic opened to poor reviews and closed only four short months later. Though Disney officially stated at the time that the show would return in the year 2000, it never again saw the "light" of day. Despite the show's short run, infrastructure improvements made specifically for Light Magic, mainly in Fantasyland are still used in current day.

It is powerful against Dark Magic but weak against Anima Magic, though in the SNES games such as Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, light and dark magic are neutral against each other. Light magic is known for having the highest accuracy but lowest might of the three magic types. It is also known for the fact that almost all of its tomes have a critical rate, excluding Aureola and Purge.
